Because of a shipping mix-up, I ended up getting both this switcher and the entry level ATEM switcher the same day, and my staff eagerly opened them both. So we tested them side by side.

Summary: on the ATEM switcher, you need to begin by reading the manual carefully. Then you read it again. Once you figured it out, it did do the job, but you need a degree in computer science to really make best use of it.

With this mixer, you need to begin by plugging it in and turning it on, and you're up and running. It's easy to use, and it produces a brilliantly clear result. And you save the expense of buying some of the extra bells and whistles that we'll never use in our system anyway.

We sent the ATEM back.

Great product, we were up and running streaming church services fairly easily! It accepts 3 HDMI video sources, the different scenes can be programmed (moving the picture in picture source where you want it to display), the large buttons are easy to navigate during church (we move from input 1, input 2 and the picture in picture throughout the service). The fade transitions look nice. We have stereo left right coming out of our sound board going into this and then we send it all over the USB 3 to OBS and that is where we send our live feed out to a variety of sources (Facebook, Youtube, Twitch, Church Online Platform) and its great!

The only things I feel like it is missing are the ability to have multiview on the monitor (you only see the source you are displaying) and I tried playing with the chroma key to have the presentation computer show transparently over the top, but there is not as much freedom with positioning that on the screen as there is the actual HDMI source, so that was a let down, but overall I am very happy!
