   Blank CDs are available with non-printable, or printable surfaces. Non-printable CDs can be marked with a soft felt-tip pen, for labeling. Printable CDs are completely blank (no manufacturer brand or label anywhere), allowing for full customization with either laser thermal or ink-jet printing. This can give you a very professional printed CD, even when produced in small batches. Pre-printed CDs, will make a much more professional impression than handing out discs marked up with a Sharpie.
