Spacious, wide cardioid pick-up

The single DPA 2015 Wide Cardioid Microphone for ambient pick up of a drum kit or other instrument groups has extra-wide cardiod pick-up for a natural, full sound picture. Like the related pencil mic, DPA 2012 Compact Cardiod, the build quality and brass body construction with black matte finish stand-up to the rigors of a live stage environment. DPA's famously flat off-axis response and high gain-before-feedback makes it easier for sound engineers to capture instrument groups with complex radiation patterns. The 2015, can handle the loudest drums, guitars, horns and more. Closer to the source is true for the 2015, when positioned near to the drums, you capture sound evenly across the entire kit. This closer position results in stronger signal and less bleed from the stage. Like all other DPA microphones, the 2015 delivers pure, transparent sound quality. Although purchased here as a single mic, it also shines with a matched stereo pair - 2015ST (DPA-2015ST).
