Core features and performance inherited directly from the CL series, including natural sound supported by sonically superb internal processing capabilities, operation that easily adapts to the demands of just about any working environment, and built-in Dante networking that facilitates flexible system configuration, have now been condensed and concentrated into the compact QL series digital mixing consoles. QL series consoles offer all-in-one mixing, processing, and routing capability for small to medium scale live sound, corporate speech events, installations, and much more.

Features:

  • Built-in recallable HA, identical to CL and R-series
  • Direct file compatibility with CL. No need to use Console File Converter Software
  • Large Touchscreen with excellent viewing angle and daylight visibility, same as CL
  • Touch-and-turn operation along with Selected Channel controls
  • Onboard Dante network with Primary/Secondary ports for redundancy or daisy chain
  • 2 MY-Card Slots for additional I/O expansion or DSP processing such as Lake or Waves SoundGrid
  • Built-in 2-Track Recording to an external USB memory stick
  • Dante Virtual Soundcard License included
  • QL Editor for PC/Mac and StageMix for iPad will also be available at no charge

We have been using the Yamaha QL5 for our main auditorium FOH mix desk going on 3 years now and have been completely blown away with it's features and flexibility. This was our first digital console and I admit I was a bit nervous as I had always used Soundcraft analog boards and was used to that workflow. I am still discovering and learning what all this desk will do. The effects (especially the ones by Rupert Neve) are amazing. The QL Stage mix app has also been extremely helpful. I regularly use it to help set-up our vocalists stage wedges as well as to troubleshoot feedback using the onboard RTA while in the EQ window. The next feature I'm really looking forward to getting up and running is the virtual soundcheck / multitrack recording through Dante. The QL5 has been nothing but rock solid for us and never let us down!
