AKG's legendary C414 has been one of the most widely used condenser microphones on stage, in the studio, and even in broadcast facilities for decades, and now the >C414 XLS Multi-pattern Condenser Microphone has joined the family to continue the legacy layed by it's predecessors. It comes equipped with a large 1" edge-terminated diaphragm that has high sensitivity and extremely low self-noise, along with the ability to handle high sound pressure levels and a wide dynamic range to pick up every aspect of any instrument or vocals you mic up using this microphone. Plus, it's frequency response is incredibly warm and natural, meaning that you'll get true-to-source sound free from coloration or artifacts. This incredibly versatile microphone offers nine switchable polar patterns to suit nearly any situation you might encounter. It also comes with three different attenuation levels and three switchable bass-cut filters so you can always dial in the right sound while keeping distortion and low-frequency noise to a minimum. Plus, if you're using the C414 XLS in a live sound or fixed install application, all controls can be disabled to prevent unwanted changes to the microphone, meaning you won't have to worry about someone accidentally hitting a button and causing a chain-reaction of problems! The C414 XLS comes complete with a hard shell carrying case, a pop filter, windscreen, and a spider-type shock mount, so you've got everything you need to get great-sounding recordings right out of the box!
