Mackie DL Series
digital live mixers are totally controlled by iPad. Much more than just regular docking stations, there is an entire digital mixer within the chassis of these bad boys. You get 16 inputs and 6 outputs on the DL1608 (or 8 in and 4 out on the DL806), and the iPad becomes the control surface. It's easy to adjust the levels on each input, EQ and more, just as you would on a regular mixer. Accessing compression, delay, limiting and more is as easy as a swipe of a finger.
Here's the coolest thing about the DL mixers: all of the processing is inside the mixer - so you get beautiful Mackie Onyx Preamps, aux outputs, etc. - but you can slide out the iPad and still operate the mixer wirelessly! You can also run up to 10 iPads on the system, so each musician can independently choose their own mix via an onstage wireless monitor mix system. Nobody else has a system like this, and the price point is incredible!
