The Ace Backstage 1048BBX is a standard extra deep back box. It is slightly deeper than standard BBX series back boxes (8" instead of 6"), and it may be used exclusively with Ace full and double wide stage pockets. The 1048BBX is welded 14 gauge steel with a protective cover that is discarded when the pocket body is finally installed. The box and cover have a clear zinc corrosion resistant finish. A 0.5" mounting flange is predrilled to mate with the pocket body flange. The pocket body assembly is 4.5" deep, and the extra deep back box is 8" deep, providing a 3.5" work clearance in the bottom of the back box (ideal for feed thru or distribution junction).
